Really disappointed with level of care and attention given to animals from staff. I noticed a baby quail bird was in a bad way being pecked at by all the other birds. When I finally found a member of staff to let them know about this, he replied that there are a number of birds that needs sorting out in a few days. When I asked what he means by this he said ‘they will be euthanised’. I was shocked at this response as this poor baby quail would have just benefited by being taken away from these other birds. Pigs had no mud & ducks sharing small trough of water. Was recently taken over by Brandon Trust.

Cute free farm, small car park and then a big overflow car park also. Has ducks, pigs, sheep, goats, ponies, rabbits, guinea pigs etc. Signage to the animals really needs to be improved though, it took us ages to find some of them, especially the sheep. A simple fix, but would improve things greatly. Toilets were clean. Main annoyance is me and my mum travelled specially with my little girl for lunch at the cafe- It’s advertised online and written on the actual menu that they stop serving food at 3pm. We arrived 2:25pm, a blonde lady was running the cafe, who advised me that because it was quiet they had cleaned the equipment early so food wasn’t being served anymore. (At least 3 other families came into the cafe whilst we were there, so it wasn’t dead) This meant we had to go without any food as we had travelled for my little girl to see the animals (luckily we had brought food for her or we would have definitely had to go home without walking round at all!) We explained we hadn’t eaten and even asked if we could just have a salad as this wouldn’t involve any cooking appliances to be turned back on, and the lady still said no. Why have a time advertised if you don’t keep to it? Just because you want to go home early, with no consideration for people who have specially travelled to visit the farm. On a separate note, they do have a lovely picnic area so if you bring all your own food it’s a really pretty place to sit amongst the trees. If they stuck to their timings and put some signs up directing you to where the different animals were, it would be a 5 star outing! Would still recommend, but go much earlier if you’re planning on eating, so there’s no chance if they stop food early you’ll be caught short like we were!

What a wonderful place. Right on the edge of the city with far reaching views and lovely cafe. Some gorgeous piglets .

We had a wonderful afternoon at the community farm. Everyone there was friendly and it’s just lovely to be able to take little ones there to see farm animals in a farm setting. Added bonus, cafe ( tasty cakes & coffee) and lovely play area. Great free afternoon out but I do think it’s important to leave donations as this is clearly a community venture providing joy to many!

What a great place to bring your children for fun! There's play equipment for the bigger children as well as for toddlers. The food in the cafe is excellent quality. Proper coffee, lots of choice plus vegan milk options :)
