Become a Family MemberWe went to Haddo House today. Its a long drive from the road to the house. You have to book a tour to see inside the house. What a great experience. We had Joanna and trainee, Karen as our guides. They really made the house come alive as they explained the history of the house and the interesting people that have lived there. We were part of a small group and they allowed us plenty of time in the rooms. Thank you for a great tour. There is a lot of grounds to walk around and plenty of picnic tables if you take your own lunch. There is a cafe, shop, visitors centre and toilets.
A lovely park to relax and walk around. All the main paths are wheelchair friendly. There's a large pay and display car park that has some disabled spaces available. At the bottom is a waterway that had ducks and geese floating around when we visited. Toilets are available within the park and at the Haddo house visitor centre. 2 cafes on site for something to eat or drink.
A very interesting tour of a beautiful house and lots of parks and paths to explore
Very well maintained, and with several options for dog walkers and families with small children. There are toilets conveniently located, and some benches in case you need to take strategic breaks. Lake with geese and ducks makes for a beautiful, picturesque scene. Highly recommended for a weekend stroll to unwind and enjoy yet another wee piece of bonnie Scotland!
Haddo house has a big walking trail around the lake, with ducks and geese and swans. Playground for kids. A small fairy garden. A nice cafe shop. Everything you need for a day out.
