A gorgeous and quaint National Trust site; one of the most well preserved locations available to visit. Ham House and gardens offers a magnificent, but accessible and easily walkable grounds picked perfectly out of the 17th Centry. There's plenty of parking in a FREE car park just down the road and spaces lining the roads, plus accessible parking directly outside the house. We had a fantastic day here in the sunshine and despite being a lovely 27° the site was so quiet! This meant there was lots of time for the volunteers to talk and inform us of the history and we left feeling very happy. Definitely recommend for a day out.

Wonderful place to be in touch with nature and history. You have the house with tours included with the ticket (they give out the slots as they sell the tickets - last one was at 14.15 and we arrived an hour earlier). The small restaurant is great! A lot of options for a quick lunch or a coffee. There’s also a shop full of small beautiful souvenirs, plants and books. They have a second hand section for books at 1 point each. The house is worth visiting with a lot of history since 1610: we’ve learnt a little bit about some traditions of the aristocracy and how that impacted in daily life.

We had a lovely visit to Ham House and Garden. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The house itself is beautiful and very interesting, especially the downstairs areas where you can really get a sense of how people lived in the past. The gardens are also very nice and well worth exploring. Parking isn’t the easiest, but this is clearly explained on their website along with alternative options, so it’s manageable if you plan ahead. Overall, a great place to visit – would definitely recommend!

I enjoyed the display of various tilulips. I think, about 10 varieties. See photos, they are beautiful flowers. And various forrms (step over, espailer, fan) apples, peaches, pears are in flower too. However, I think overal the garden is not in great shape. Shame. And strange, because the tickets are not cheap at all. Couldn't vidit the house, because apparently they decided to close early. Could have updated the google msps, but didn't. Shop sells many healthy plants, and some other interesting items. Cafe also closed food early, and all you could get was sweet cakes, sweet drinks. I saw nothing savoury. But there is just water in self service area, good.

Out of all the National Trust properties I’ve visited, I felt like Ham House is the one that truly gives a sense of lavishness. It’s giving Bridgerton ball–hostess level elegance, with the intricate gown designs in the paintings and the fine details in the room décor. Every space feels rich with history and style. The carefully laid-out garden also adds to the experience, making the whole visit feel grand and beautifully preserved.
