Hampstead Heath is London at its wonkiest and most wonderful — no neat flower beds or regimented paths, just proper wild grassland, ancient woods, and muddy trails that genuinely feel like countryside 🌳🌾 The view from Parliament Hill is one of the best freebies in the city, especially at sunset when the skyline turns golden 🌆✨ And yeah, the swimming ponds are freezing enough to take your breath away, but there’s nothing quite like plunging in on a summer morning before the crowds arrive 🏊‍♂️🥶 It’s where dog walkers, kite flyers, and hungover twenty-somethings all coexist in glorious, slightly scruffy harmony 🐕🪁 Whether you’re wandering up to Kenwood House or just getting lost in the trees, it never feels like you’re only a few Tube stops from central London 🚇💚

The park is beautiful, but demanding. The paths are well constructed, but the hilly terrain can be tiring for this out of shape 62 year old. Still, very enjoyable, and lots of shady places to sit and think away from the city.

Amazing place. Love how natural it feels, great foresty vibes. And good that there's quite a few shared cycle paths which were delightful to ride down. They were very gravelly though so be careful. The lakes and pools were beautiful too. Absolutely reccomend a visit if you haven't been already. Will definitely be back to explore some more!

Hampstead Heath = London’s wild side 🌿☀️. Big open fields, dreamy views from Parliament Hill, and just pure nature vibes — you low-key forget you’re in the city. Perfect for picnics, walks, or doing absolutely nothing ✨. Feels calm, a bit chaotic (in a good way), and super grounding. One of those spots you go to reset your mood instantly 🤍.

A vast green space with lots of paths for dog walking/ running on. At the highest points there's a stunning view over London. There's quite a few different water features and plenty of birds around to look at/ listen to.
