Beautiful green park , with large kids playground and plenty of walking space. Once I remember from 25-30 years ago when I used to go Handsworth Grammar School , me my brother and best mate cut across the park and ran to get to school on time after getting of the 11 bus because we the inspector came on and we paid the wrong fare which was about 25p back then , lol. Anyways the park does host decent melas and also houses a leisure centre.

Handsworth Park is absolutely lovely – a real green escape from the city buzz. The lake is peaceful, the flower beds are gorgeous, and there's always something going on, from family days to cultural celebrations. Perfect for a gentle stroll or sitting with a coffee. Just wish they had proper toilets! Still, a total treasure.

Decent park to visit, plenty of ducks and squirrels to see. Has a big pond and a leisure centre on the premises. There are swings, table tennis table and other activities you can use. Has free parking via the back entrance which can easily get full in the summer/spring.

I want to write an extensive review of this park because there are so many features worth mentioning. I had the pleasure to spend a windy but sunny winter morning in this expansive park, which is a haven for nature enthusiasts and families. It is well-maintained with plenty of litter bins and dog waste bins scattered around. The park offers clear walking and running paths. Numerous benches are scattered throughout, providing perfect spots to relax and a welcoming escape. The family-friendly environment is evident, with easy access from multiple entry points and a fairly big car park by the Holly Road entrance. The lush greenery and big lake by the Hamstead Road entrance, populated with geese and other birds, enhance the park's natural charm. There is another, smaller, lake by the cricket ground. For children, there's a well-equipped playground that promises hours of fun. Sports fans will appreciate the basketball, football, and cricket grounds available. Additionally, the park boasts vibrant murals that add a splash of color and creativity to the surroundings. There's also a mile-long blue walk line, designed to help and encourage people to lead a healthy lifestyle, perfect for a leisurely stroll or an invigorating jog. There's one drawback: the lack of public toilets. This can be a bit inconvenient for visitors, especially those with young children. I believe there are some in the leisure centre but if it is close, you won't have access. Overall this park is truly a place that enriches the lives of the local communities and reminds us of the beauty and tranquility that nature provides.

It was a pleasant experience to visit this beautiful park. It's in the middle of residential areas, reasonably large with hilly terrain. The walkways are wide. There are two beautiful small lakes with plenty of ducks to feed. There is a kids' play area and a court for basketball/football practice. I loved it.
