It began with the dead Leading us to the castle But it took us instead To dead ends and a hassle With castles in mind We took to the wood With our path undefined We did what we could At dog walkers we smiled From squirrels we ran We emerged undefiled Lunch was the plan In a field of butterflies Olives tasted new With pollen in our eyes The sneezes flew After taste buds were tingled Sweat wiped from our brows We walked and we mingled And stumbled upon cows! Do my eyes deceive me? I don’t understand! Hills so small I could hold them in my hand But no!? How large are these cows? My best estimation: As big as a house. We back away shaken Shaking off the scare Sizzling like bacon Drowning in tangible air One of us blinded The other barely seeing He gingerly guided Her to a sight that was freeing: A deer! Hooray! He saved the day! A creature so austere I don’t know what to say. But on goes the quest Of the castle we dreamed Choosing paths that felt best ‘Til we joyously screamed, WALL. It dawned on us quick We cAn’t rEacH tHe RuiNs But what was that pic? The one from the reviewin’s?! We stood on the wall Yearning to cross But the nettles tall Showed us who was boss We made peace with the fact That our plan would not prevail Maps location exact But our journey - a fail Failure aside We had a new hope That the hills would always provide Comfort in a slope Undulation! Stunning. The views from the benches at the first area you get too by the cafe and car park and children's gated play area, are amazing, you can see for miles. The walks are beautiful, some are very hilly but there is a good bit of flat too. There are a few entrances to the park and they are gated. If you have a Radar key is is helpful for accessing the flatter areas, off road mobilits scooters.

There are so many routes to walk here, I’ve been using this place for the last 12 months to go on explores with the dogs I look after in Nuneaton. It’s got everything, views for miles, forests, bike routes, different walking routes, lots of flora and fauna to see. Toilets, a play area for children and a little kiosk to get drinks & snacks with a picnic area to enjoy. Littered with plenty of seating on the way round I always spend at least an hour or 2 here just exploring with the dogs. I could easily spend a day hiking here though. Attached photos from today’s walk to they’re in the woods only. The most extraordinary view is from the memorial but I didn’t go there today. Trust me you don’t want to miss it though - it’s absolutely stunning. ❤️🥰. CAR PARKING IS £3.50 all day and the car park is locked up overnight.

Completely free to walk around, however the car park is pay and display. You can park along the road parallel to it for no charge. The Park is absolutely beautiful to walk around. You could easily spend a few hours here. Not all.of it is pushchair/wheelchair friendly. There are toilets and a play area for kids. Love it here

Lovely walk and great views. The boys loved the woods and it was nice and cool and shady out of the hot sun They also enjoyed the play area. Sadly we were a bit too early for the cafe it wasn't opening until school holidays
