Honestly blown away by the diversity and quality of the collections for such a small museum. Well worth a visit, especially for the natural history collections.

They had a dinosaur room set up when I went and my son and godson loved it. Lots of things to play with and enjoy. Donation entry. No cafe/food on when we went not sure if that changes? Great exhibit too, I was really impressed with the amount of artifacts they actually had on show and the upkeep is fab. The lady on reception was a volunteer and said she'd been working there over 7 years! She was very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. We have booked onto one of there creative events and I'm looking forward to it!

We love it here! My son really like seeing the mummy and other ancients bits and pieces. I like a wander round the garden to the Bee hive and the pond. Always a great day out. Would be nice to have a selection of light bites in the cafe rather than just tea/coffee & Biscuits.

What surprise, I have lived in the area all my life and never visited before as didn’t think it would be much. Loads packed in to a small area and all for free (donation suggested). Also great for the kids. Bets bits were the fossils and animal skeletons. The Egyptian mummy and artefacts were fascinating. Roman poetry found locally was a nice touch as well. Well worth a visit.

Absolutely worth a visit - for children and adults. Free to enter, but suggested donation of £5. Excellent selection of natural history, human history and geology exhibits. Don't miss the wooden cabinet of butterfly specimens! Fascinating see-through bee hive in the beautiful grounds. Very friendly and helpful staff. A wonderful way to spend a few hours.
