The fish was reportedly gutted on the beach at Hastings, Sussex, turning an ordinary fishing trip into a viral local sensation of its day. The legendary tale of Dorothy and the fish coin remains deeply embedded in the maritime folklore of Hastings, home to a rich history of beach-launched vessels and traditional shingle-based fisheries... AND THIS MUSEUM IS FREE. DONATIONS ARE ACCEPTED AND RECOMMENDED. THEY ALSO HAVE A LOVELY LITTLE SHOP.

Small and charming collection. The first room (the entry and exit one with the big boat) feels a bit cramped with stuff but the inner room has a really nice set of photographs with stories.
