We visited the final year Newcastle university fine art student exhibition and were really impressed with the presentation and quality of work. This was really one of the best displays of art we have seen anywhere and we visited multiple times just to see all of it. One of the best galleries we have visited and looking forward to visiting future exhibitions.

Fab visit to the Hatton Gallery today. So impressed with the Free exhibitions including Sustainable Clay. The gallery is light and airy with items on show and videos so interesting. The entrance staff were extremely friendly and helpful too. I would definitely recommend a visit when in this area of Newcastle 😁 x

The current seasonal exhibit is a bit disappointing. The very abstract industrial look of art. The rest of the art is not that impressive either. Some handmade artworks mostly focus on demonstrating the shape of the material, the paintings are just too obscure. However, it is still a nice and neat small gallery (only one floor, take stairs or elevator) to walk around that is connected to the campus.

I Love this place. I visit it all the time. My recent visit was to the British Abstract Artist Wilhelmina Barns-Graham. Wilhelmina Barns-Graham (1912 – 2004) was a leading member of the St Ives School of artists who contributed to the advancement of British Abstract Art in the 20th Century. I love her work
