Walked both of the main routes shown in the board in the main carpark. Lovely walks, really well signposted. There was even a little pond on the walk across the road from the car park.

This time of year it is always a bit muddy but since a lot of healthy trees have been cut down for no reason the paths are terrible.What once had lovely paths and scrub land is an eye saw ,and why remove 3 benches? People who have walked a long way, not everyone is amazingly fit, might need to sit down and admire the view of the fields and the deer but now they can't .The butterflies mainly stay in the grassy fields ,if the chopping down of trees was ment to improve this ,more plants that butterflies like should be planted.

Stunning woods, lots of walking and bicycle tracks, plenty of places to sit / rest / benches. Gorgeous view towards Joan’s Hill Farm. Great and easy car park too.

Amazing walking place with lots of trails to choose. Suitable walks for kids as well. Easily spend many hours in the forest.

Followed both butterfly trails - three and a half miles, my husband on his mobility scooter. Some slopes are steep and on the shorter of the two trails one part of the track was a little challenging. There was a map at the car park and coloured marker poles to follow. We saw a number of the butterflies mentioned on the strategic butterfly information posts. We loved the peace and beauty of the place.
