Fantastic reserve, great selection of hides, lovely circular walk. Staff are very friendly and helpful and the cafe serves a great selection of food, including a great range of fresh scones

So good we visited twice in a week. Excellent hides and connecting paths around the pools, with good signage both for directions around the site and in the hides, telling you what you are seeing. Nice cafe with a great view, although fairly small and easily filled when it rains. Helpful, friendly staff and volunteers. The car park machine (a whole £2 for the the day) was a bit temperamental, so take two £1 coins rather than relying on contactless cards.

Lovely nature reserve using some old open cast workings near the sea. Half a dozen or so bird watching hides along a 2.5km path around the lakes. Nice cafe and friendly staff and all for a £2 parking charge. Excellent

Great place to spend a few hours in the afternoon. Good place for wildlife watchers. The walk is about 2 miles all way round. Cafe, toilets, and car park (£2). Well worth a visit.
