Came back a second time as we loved it so much when we were up in the NE last year. Great volunteers who are very welcoming; the hides are well looked after and there is an abundance of wildlife to see. We spent all day here. The facilities are good; a lovely café overlooks the lakes with friendly staff serving, and a good choice of food and drinks. The car park is only £2 all day. Entry to the reserve is free but it's nice to leave a donation. Very impressed and couldn't find fault at all. I'm sure we'll be back!

Stopped here for a break on a long journey. Only £2 for all day parking. Nice easy circular walk with lots of bird hides. Unfortunately it was a bit rainy while we were there do didn't see much wildlife, although could see the potential for a sunnier day! Clean toilets, friendly staff and a nice looking cafe.

We have been to this wonderful site several times.Always we are amazed and surprised at the same time.Wonderful knowledgeable staff to welcome and then several hours of wandering.Hides are always welcoming on days of cold or rain and there is the wonderful cafe for lovely refreshments. A day for all both young and old.Exhileration of birds in flight or passive on the water. Such a highly recommended day.No charge but of course donations welcome.Plenty of parking too.

Well this place is a hidden gem! Very accessible, beautifully laid out. Friendly and informative staff. Highly recommended for families, schools or simply a calm retreat for youself. Dog friendly too.

Brilliant wee hidden gem! Great cafe with lovely toasties, soup and scones! The staff are friendly and helpful. You can even borrow some binos for a better look at the birds! Absolutely lovely way to spend a few hours with the added joy of a few hairy coos to say hello at the end of the track!
