Explore one of the world's largest collections of Irish railway artefacts while enjoying traditional barbering services at this one-of-a-kind attraction.

Headhunters Barber Shop & Railway Museum is a uniquely charming venue that combines two distinct experiences: a traditional family barber shop established in 1981 and an extensive railway museum. This one-of-a-kind attraction showcases one of the world's largest collections of small Irish railway artefacts, many generously donated by former railway employees. Visitors embark on a journey through railway history starting at a reconstructed booking office, recreating travel through Fermanagh and the border counties until the railway closure in 1957. The museum features meticulously created exhibits including a Station Master's Office, Ladies Waiting Room, and Signal Cabin, displaying an absorbing range of memorabilia such as uniforms, signalling instruments, signs, lamps, tableware, timetables, tickets, and photographs from three local railway companies: The Great Northern Railway (Ireland), The Sligo Leitrim & Northern Counties Railway, and The Clogher Valley Railway. The venue is perfect for families and railway enthusiasts of all ages. Visitors can explore the museum while waiting for a haircut, making it a truly entertaining experience. The barber shop welcomes everyone and has been serving the local community and visitors for over 40 years, with many families now bringing their third generation of customers. Admission to the Railway Museum is free, and the venue combines history, hospitality, and traditional craftsmanship in an indoor setting that's both educational and welcoming.

Came across this place whilst in Enniskillen. Didn’t need a haircut but what an amazing display of railway memorabilia on the premises! The owner was very friendly and helpful. This is a real gem especially for anyone interested in trains. Pay a visit and you will not be disappointed!!

Came across this by accident - so glad we did. Amazing little museum of railway memorabilia. Loads of signs on the entrance passageway way, then enter the stairs for a walk through stations past. The condition of all the pieces displayed is excellent. And the information plaques are great snippets in to railway life past. There IS actually a barbers shop in the middle. People waiting like at a station for their hair cut, but don't be put off, carry on through to a other 2 rooms of displays. Could e fault anything about this museum, credit to the staff who maintain it. And it's FREE !!But I suggest you do give a do ation, as it's worth it. Great way to spend half an hour

What a delightful, impressive and wonderful collection of NI railway memorabilia integrated with a working men’s barbers. Free admission but donations gratefully received and deserved. History of our railway infrastructure on show and would be great for kids to see also.
