Really good day out with multiple miniature trains running as well as a mini tram so even though it is often well utilised and busy, the wait is not too bad for each ride. Refreshments available; burgers, hot-dogs, ice creams and tea/coffee/cakes. Large grass lawn area in the centre to bring own picnic or to buy refreshments there, and sit under the trees.

"It was awesome" says the 4 year old we went with. Was easy to find heath Park but we went in at the first carpark and it's not the easiest to find from there on foot. One we were there it was easy to navigate once you found the ramped bridge rather than steps. Signage is perhaps some to improve. All the staff were lovely and really wanted you to have a fun time, but they will stop train if you don't follow safety instructions. Rides are free for 3 and under. Party tickets include the two main train stations trains but not the tram.

One of the best hidden gems you'll ever find in Cardiff for kids of all ages. My boy is 2 and had the best time looking at all the trains. Its great value, lots of fun for parents and the staff are all fantastic, super helpful and friendly. There's a lovely garden space in the middle to sit with a picnic or ice cream while watching the trains circle around you. Its only open rarely which makes it all the more special. Well worth a visit and has great return value as the kids get older.

What a little piece of fun in Cardiff, found out about this place a while ago walked around but it was closed at thet time of season, we look for the open days to the public and while it was a little busy we managed to get on the trains we wanted too without much waiting around staff where great information and friendly, it's usually £2,80pp entry then £2,80pp per ride on each train plus under three's free, there is a park jest a five minute walk away too and great green space for a picnic, I really would recommend the parking was free on the Sunday we went has well cardiff council don't charge on the weekend i believe 😀 (definitely don't on a Sunday)

Outstanding I have lived in and around Cardiff for 32 years and never knew this existed. Only open at select times of the year and it's very cheap to visit. £1.80 and free for 3 and under. I was blown away by the amount of different miniature trains. You can really tell it's run by enthusiasts. The staff here are great and clearly passionate about this place. My 2 year old was in his element. They sell toys here which seem fairly cheap compared to normal shops. The food here is great. They had burgers cooking and home made cakes etc. Brilliant.
