Heckington Windmill is a hidden gem in Lincolnshire. I visited The Miller’s House Tea Room for a lovely lunch break, which offered delicious food in a warm and welcoming setting. Afterwards, I headed into the 8 Sail Brewery, where there was a great range of real ales to enjoy in a relaxed atmosphere. I highly recommend a visit!

We've been meaning to call here for some time on a run to Norfolk .... finally got here, what a fabulous windmill. There's an interesting little museum area, a gift shop, second hand books, tea rooms (we didn't go in, the choice was coffee or micro brewery beer !! The beer won !!) the brewery, and the Windmill. 3 floors open currently, the top floor closed due to damp issues. Plenty to see, information boards on each level. Ladders with ropes to assist use, brilliantly displayed. A very very friendly receptionist, with masses of information. All for £5 - absolute bargain. The brewery attached to the mill building is worth a visit. Delicious ale, selling varying bottles/snacks at very competitive prices. Great place to sit and have a beer after the visit. Parking at the back of the mill, no height barrier. Highly recommended.

Lovely trip out. We had great fun climbing up the windmill - the stairs are very steep! The millers were very knowledgeable and friendly. The tearoom is beautiful, the cakes are amazing! And we popped into the brewery too - it smells awesome. The shop is great, lots of information to take in. The ladies were super helpful giving tips and advice on using the flour and upcoming events. Will definitely be back for the milling events. Came away with lots of different types of freshly milled flour and a recipe book.

A little gem to visit! Everything is to a very high standard - exhibits, staff, food, cleanliness, shop plus lots of little touches to make it an enjoyable experience for children. All decked out for Halloween right now! Great place!

Visited and did the windmill tour and some lunch in the tea room. A lovely little stop on our way to Norfolk for holiday. Volunteers were great with the kids, there was a good number of interactive exhibits for them to do and little tasks to do while moving around the windmill itself. The guide (Alf) was very knowledgable and let us walk around the walkway midway up the windmill itself. In the gift shop, the flours are good and the porridge oats make brill porridge! The cafe has a reasonable range of food and some very generous slices of cake on offer. We will definitely visit again!
