Been a few times now, doing walks and heading in different directions. Plenty rights of way to choose from, although some have been blocked or rediverted. Sting in the tail is the long and steep pull up, to the car park. As a campervan owner - the parking is good, as long as others park sensibly

Great to be out in the open countryside and appreciating the views from the top of the Fell. Respect livestock that are roaming and keep dogs onlead please…..

Heard this was a lovely quiet place to go for a walk with a dog. There are signs clearly stating that dogs must be on leads at all times, sheep and other wildlife around. Walked through a gate from carpark and over to a stone wall with route maps and directions. Heard the gate being opened so I looked round to see a huge XL bully dog running through.It was off a lead and not muzzled and heading towards us. The owner did nothing and carried on walking, we put the stone wall between the dog and us, and luckily the dog stopped and started to follow it's owner. After some distance I picked up our dog and quickly got back to the car. I'm sure the reserve is lovely but there were sheep around and this dog was not in control.If any dog walkers/ walkers go here please be aware of this and stay safe.Pic is of the dog.

Great walk, sheep all over which is lovely, great views and well looked after with a hard pretty flat walking path.

Stunning nature reserve! Beautiful views and cute sheep 🐑❤️ lovely all year round, especially when the heather blooms. Just remember to bring a jacket as the wind can make it quite chilly even on a warm day 🧥
