We came across this by accident and were really pleased. A little haven of trees, wildlife and peace. Lots of lovely birds to be heard in the trees, despite being next to a busy train line. Most paths were well maintained and easy to negotiate. Shame the ‘lake’ is just a manky muddy rubbish littered mess but I am sure the powers that be will get on it and clean it up. It’s a nice place for a walk in the business of urban living.

Currently no access to the car park due to some felling work being done. I was able to get access to the path from the road although I wouldn’t say it was particularly pram friendly! Once on the path it was reasonably okay for a pram although lots of tree roots and muddy in spots. Some paths were not pram friendly. I would say this is more of a baby carry sort of walk or toddlers upwards. Otherwise nice surroundings but some paths need maintenance.

Year round "green therapy". A place to escape the chaos of city living whilst being on the doorstep of the city. Fancy a quick walk? ✅ Fancy getting lost amongst the trees with your dog? ✅ Fancy getting thoroughly muddy? ✅ Can also just stick to the main path in the centre which isn't as muddy but where's the fun in that! ☺️ Great for the kids to lose themselves to nature. Expect nothing more than what the woodland provides and you will have a lovely walk out and about.

Great place to walk the dog or go exploring with the kids, nice little parking area just off Trentham Road, then good central paths and then turnings at regular intervals to explore. About 30 minute walk to the Wedgwood visitor centre, the another 30 minute walk along the canal side to the plume of feathers for refreshments after a long walk. Then back again on a different route if required.
