A historic location, run as a family affair, with a modern business plan. This is more than a zoo. In the morning, there are several activities for children, schools, and wide access -including accessibility options- which could satisfy every palette. It includes a dinasaur themed area, several playground areas, pet activities and the opportunity to see some interesting animals. On the summer evenings, when we visitted, the site was running mexican nights with mariachi band, sobreros, a safari stage and party music from 6:30 -9:30pm. Family friendly atmosphere, with professional staff across facilities, it was a great opportunity to celebrate a life ocassion eg child's birthday. Expect very long walks, limited transportation options (own car is by far the best way to visit), no WiFi/calls and no ability to contact members of your group (serious in our case, as we were divided, and were unable to reach out to each other for hours). Although, there are food options, I would recommend to be mindfull that supply was less than the demand on the time we visitted, so make sure you have snacks or alternative plans just in case. Lovely experience, I would recommend and visit again.

A stunning Zoo!! We visited on Sunday May 3rd and had a great day with our kids. Our boys have watched plenty of One Zoo Three and we made a trip down from York as a treat! The dinosaur area was really well done, the best we've seen in the UK with a fun little train ride aswell. The Zoo itself is unbelievable, all animals looked very happy and the visibility of the animals was excellent for kids with large glass, lower level glass or lots of look out points. We did 930 to 5 and could have stayed longer, good services on site and we will visit again!! Thank you!

Visiting Hertfordshire Zoo in Broxbourne was an incredible experience that offered so much more than a typical zoo visit. This park is beautifully designed and provides amazing up-close encounters with some of the world's most majestic animals. Standing just inches away from a powerful Amur tiger or watching the curious snow leopards was truly unforgettable. One of the absolute highlights for me was the World of Dinosaurs. Walking through the woodland trail and seeing over 40 life-sized, animatronic dinosaurs hidden among the trees felt like stepping onto a movie set. The zoo’s commitment to conservation is evident throughout, especially at the Sun Bear and Jaguar habitats. Whether you're a wildlife enthusiast or a fan of prehistoric history, the energy and care put into this park make it a standout destination. Tips for your visit: • World of Dinosaurs: This is a must-see! It’s one of the best dinosaur attractions in the UK and perfect for photography. • Animal Talks: Check the daily schedule for keeper talks—it’s the best way to learn about the individual animals and their conservation stories. • Land of the Tigers: Make sure to visit the tiger habitat; the viewing areas are exceptional and offer great perspectives of these big cats. • Family Fun: There are fantastic themed play areas and a splash park, so bring extra clothes for the kids if it's a warm day! Hertfordshire Zoo is a fantastic blend of education, conservation, and pure fun. It’s easily one of the best day trips from London for families and animal lovers alike. 🦁🦖🐾

This zoo was amazing! It has 2 distinct areas. One displaying dinosaurs both real and fictional from several different periods. The dinosaurs were animatronic which was exciting and scary at the same time. The other area is a zoo with several animals and talks. The park was well laid out and had very knowledgeable staff. An absolute must visit for kids of all ages!
