Had a delightful walk around the park and alongside the river. The park offers a variety of pathways which cater for those with dogs, some gravel paths, others needing wellies boots, some are suitable for wheelchair users. There's also a lovely cafe, partially accessible, which welcomes dogs and children. It has toilets for patrons. They sell duck food in the cafe, as swans and ducks are found on the adjacent river. Boat races are held in the summer months, and the park has benches alongside the pathways, so you could take a picnic.

Higginson Park in Marlow is an excellent choice for a peaceful and refreshing day trip from London. It’s easy to reach by train or car, and the moment you arrive, the riverside scenery makes you feel far away from the busy city. The park is beautifully maintained, with wide open green spaces, a lovely riverside walk, and plenty of spots for picnics. You can enjoy views of the River Thames, watch boats passing by, or simply relax under the trees.

Marlow is such a lovely town — peaceful, scenic, and full of charm. We spent a wonderful day at Higginson Park, which is beautifully maintained and perfect for a relaxing walk or picnic by the river. The highlight was hiring a boat from The Little Green Boat Company. The staff were so friendly and explained everything clearly, making us feel comfortable right away. Cruising along the Thames was an unforgettable experience — calm water, stunning views, and total relaxation. A perfect way to enjoy the natural beauty of Marlow. Highly recommended!
