Breathtaking views. Feels like I am surrounded by nature and hard to believe it's just in our back yard from Colchester city. The lake has some perfect picnic spots, and if you are wanting some incredible views of the surrounding area then head up the hills and you can see right down to the city centre. We also got lucky and saw rabbits, cows, deer, and a cormorant all in one trip!

A lovely place for a walk, especially with dogs. It is nice and shady with lots of trees, with playgrounds for children and a lake for those that like to fish. There are at least three walking trails you could follow. There are clean toilets, parking spots and a Visitor's Centre with helpful staff.

Beautiful and relaxing walk. You’ll see wild deer if you’re lucky. Lots of squirrels and birds. Best place for solo walks and family picnics. There is a kids play area too and toilet facilities.

Lovely place for dog walk. Wooded area and large grass area with a beautiful fishing lake too. Car parking good with small charge and cafe for a warm drink on a cold day.
