It's such a lovely nature reserve, peaceful, quiet, just a nice place to spend 15 minutes and get away from the bustle of town. The volunteers do an amazing job of keeping it maintained, and looking so good.

I've lived in Bedford for 60+ years and I never knew this existed until a few months ago. It's a small oasis of green wildness in a busy residential, area but once inside - it's like stepping in to another world. A little pond, with frogs and spawn, squirrels, various kinds of ground housing different birds - I saw a wren, tits, corvids starlings, and above a red kite. It is sensitively maintained, and by locals, apparently. Delightful.

We visited this place today. It was so calm and quiet. You could only hear birds. Saw a lot of tadpoles in ponds. My daughter wanted to look at foxes and other wildlife mentioned but to her disappointed, couldn't spot any. Hope to visit and find them some other time.
