I had an amazing time visiting Hylands Park in Chelmsford. Spanning over 570 acres, this award-winning park offers a stunning blend of historic architecture and vast, beautiful landscapes. The centerpiece is the magnificent Hylands House, a Grade II listed neo-classical villa that looks absolutely breathtaking against the greenery. I particularly enjoyed exploring the serene lakeside paths and seeing the ancient oak trees. This is my local park for the last 7years, spend some time here most days! This park is the best for dog walking, yes its not massive but I've made many dog walking friends here, know most of the regular dogs and say hello daily. My dog has her own bunch of friends she plays with, she loves socialising and running with her buddies. All the dogs are so well behaved, the owners are so respectful of each other and give space when needed. The athletics club is a great place to hang out on the weekend, it's always full of friendly locals and the kids can play on the field together whilst adults chill. The park is well maintained although it can be prone to litter as its so busy during the summer and the bins overfill. The children's play area is my only gripe as its in need of tlc, part of the fence is missing and there are holes in the surface. Its well used by the local children and does need an update, but my kids love it regardless and we're lucky it's so close by. I run here regularly aswell and the oval track is perfect for doing laps, it's nice and flat most of the way round. Many runners go here daily so its a great place to meet people.

It's a nice big park, with lots of playgrounds. 6 basketball rims which means 3 full courts. I think I saw a lawn tennis court too. It has gym equipment which uses your weight - very safe. Also, plenty of equipment for children

Beautiful little gem tucked away, a lovely relaxing park, ideal for walking the dog or just a gentle stroll although quite small.
