Visited for a swim session with my little one! Great activity pool and perfect for little ones shallow pool had floats and was a lovely temperature!
This was my first time in this Centre and I'm very impressed. It's a big building, very attractive design inside and out, very clean and fresh and has many facilities for both adults and children for sport, leasure and there's a library too. Parking appears to be manageable and is free. I would recommend visiting prior to the school summer break to plan ahead for your little and not so little ones.
The health suite is upstairs and to get to the pool, or vice versa, you have to go through the main foyer which is awful when wearing swimwear. The health suite ladies showers smell terrible, the drains clearly dont get cleaned at all and the showers are not cleaned sufficiently. There is not enough disabled parking. The pool and health suite themselves are great. The staff on the desk are also great. Prices are also very good.
The leisure centre is easy to find and is modern and bright. It has a pool, library, soft play, gym equipment and a variety of Activ8 classes running in the studios. There are only drink and snack machines but no cafe like they have in Splash which is an oversight as it is a community hub that would be pleasant to spend time in. The car park is free but small so go early to your class as you may have to park elsewhere. The reception staff are welcoming and helpful.
A nice place for the locals. Showers are dirty but not as dirty compared to Splash. For some reason, everytime I go there I feel sick unlike Splash where I don't. Nice modern place. Haven't went to the gym though.
