The Ingleton Waterfalls Trail is absolutely fantastic and well worth the visit. Be prepared for plenty of steps during the first half of the walk, as it can be quite challenging in places, but the second half is much easier and allows you to really take in the scenery. The trail itself is beautifully maintained, and it's clear that the entrance fee goes towards keeping it in such excellent condition. Some people may hesitate about paying to access a walking trail, but in my opinion it's completely worth it. The paths are well looked after, the waterfalls are stunning, and the whole experience is unforgettable. My partner and I made some amazing memories here. The only downside was that as we got closer to the town, the signs directing us back to the car park weren't very clear. Thankfully, I was able to use my phone to find our way back without too much trouble. The on-site café was closed during our visit, which was a little disappointing. However, there was another lovely farm shop and café nearby that was open, so we still managed to enjoy a nice meal afterwards. Overall, this is one of the best waterfall walks I've done. If you're visiting the area, I'd highly recommend adding it to your itinerary.

What a beautiful place. The trail its self is very easy to follow and only around 4 miles. Lots of spots for swimming. You do have to pay £11 each for entry but its well worth it

We visited the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail after a period of heavy rain, and it was absolutely spectacular. The river was really full — totally different to the calm photos you see in the leaflet — which made the waterfalls even more dramatic and powerful. It felt like seeing the trail at its wildest. The route is very well signposted, and there’s loads of parking at the main car park. The toilets there and at the halfway point were clean, tidy and well maintained. There are also cafes at both locations - but it’s worth checking the opening times. It’s worth saying that this isn’t an easy, flat footpath-type stroll. You definitely need sturdy shoes, as parts of the trail go up and over rocks, uneven ground, and lots of steps. It’s absolutely doable, but it’s a proper walk rather than a gentle wander. The scenery is stunning from start to finish. The views of the river, woodlands, mountains and waterfalls were amazing — we were constantly stopping to take it all in. With the recent rain, the waterfalls were at full force and genuinely breathtaking. A brilliant walk, especially if you catch it after rain when everything is at its most dramatic.

Even with the ups and downs, steps, and occasional steeper sections, it’s a walk that rewards you at every turn- especially when you reach the bigger falls like Thornton Force, which is genuinely breathtaking. There are also handy refreshment points along the way, from small kiosks to the classic ice‑cream van near the later stages, which adds a nice break without taking away from the natural feel of the trail. The mix of shaded woodland and open views across the Dales keeps the scenery constantly changing, making the 4–5 mile loop feel much shorter than it is. Overall, it’s a fantastic day out- perfect for anyone who enjoys walking, photography, or simply being surrounded by dramatic landscapes. Whether you go on a sunny day or during cooler months, the waterfalls never disappoint, and the whole trail has a great atmosphere from start to finish.

This walk is amazing. We went as a family group with 4 adults and 2 children aged 3 and 6 yrs. We thought the prices were a bit steep at first but the car park is very good and the toilets are clean and modern. The walk is exciting and awesome. There are waterfalls all the way up and on the way back down too. The path is stoney and slippy at times with lots of steps so adequate footwear and clothing is necessary. Absolutely brilliant.
