A grey unremarkable hangar in Ipswich's industrial outskirts where you can't enter because you won't be able to leave until closing time, and even then you'll hardly have seen ten percent of the exposition. Could spend a week there.

Well worth a visit! Ipswich Transport Museum has tractors, cranes, buses, trams, bicycles and cars. There’s also an excellent tea room. Check the website before you visit because all the staff are volunteers and thus the opening hours are irregular.

In my opinion one of the best visitor attractions in Ipswich. Absolutely fascinating and not just for petrol heads! Step back in time when the pace of life was slower. Climb onto beautifully restored buses and a trolley bus, see farm vehicles, learn about famous Ipswich firm Ransomes, marvel at old pedal and motorbikes, lovely old prams, and a miniature railway. My grandchildren love the little wooden bus and the fire engine. Great for kids to use their imaginations and in this world of high tech to see how mechanical things work. The volunteers are total professionals, very knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic. The cafe offers great value food. The gift shop sells reasonably priced souvenirs and pocket money toys. Don't delay - visit this gem as soon as you can.
