We took our grandson one hot day during the school holidays. It's a lovely town park, quite large, with many mature trees for shade, a good selection of swings and roundabouts and a splash pad. There is a shop for food and drink and play equipment. Parking is available in a small car park by the shop entrance and on road parking nearby.

Great park on very hot day. Plenty of shade and hardly anyone around. Bit of road noise where I was having my packed lunch but not too obtrusive.

It is amazing . They have a range of activities . The ice cream has the spoon inside if you get the tub . They have a normal park and a waterpark so if you come bring a swimsuit . If you don't want to sit in the park there is a really big field so you can be in the shade .

John Coles Park is a really lovely place to visit. The park is clean and tidy, with lots of beautiful trees that make it peaceful and relaxing to walk around. It’s great for families too, with a nice play park for children to enjoy. The free toilets are also very clean, which is a big plus. Overall, it’s a well-kept park and a perfect spot for a stroll or a relaxing afternoon outdoors.

First time here with our grandaughter. Parking is not good but the park is wonderful. Bandstand water fountain, mature trees for shage and a lovely children's play park.
