My 6 year old child had one swimming lesson - we paid for a month direct Debit. The teacher barely spoke to him before or after the lesson and he really didn’t get on well with the lesson. Some children need more reassurance and warmth than what was given here. After the lesson I contacted the leisure centre to tell them about our experience and that we wanted to cancel and that we would like a refund for unused lessons (is there not a trial lesson? Or cooling off period?) they ignored me so I contacted them again. Ignored again. Absolutely shocking customer service. Please consider how some new children feel when starting new lessons and engage with them - my son refused to come back because of how he felt during the one lesson.

Great leisure centre - staff are amazing, clean changing rooms and a nice pool!

After the swimming session with my baby I went into the reception to put my shoes on and feed my baby as she was screaming. Despite seeing this we were asked to leave in the middle of feeding my daughter on the bench. This was very disappointing as we could’ve been given a couple of minutes to stop my daughter screaming and get our shoes on. There needs to be half an hour given after the swim so people can get themselves and children dressed and fed if necessary.

Having joined recently on a swim membership I am enjoying my new routine of attending lane swim sessions, aqua fit and aqua zumba. Having observed the booking system, it's irritating and inconvenient having to race to log on daily first thing to be able to book your class a week in advance. I am aware that a superior membership have access 2 weeks in advance so I already feel like it's a competition to get booked on successfully. Having attended sessions at different centres, I see a need for more aqua classes and find it astounding that there is nothing in the evening which I am sure would suit a wider demographic. I hadn't been to Keyworth for years and was pleasantly surprised following it's re-vamp.

I've had swimming lessons here for a while, and the pool and staff are fantastic, however this is let down by the new showers installed in their refurbishment. They are extremely temperamental at the time of writing and often are too warm to shower in. Furthermore the design for the way water comes down is terrible, with the water coming down in a halo shape which leaves the space under dry. Although I enjoy swimming here, I hope that they will make changes to the pool side showers very soon.
