When I went for a school trip, the food was okay but we were given tiny portions, due to the fact that we were doing so many activities, we were famished by night and many other pupils had to plan to get food at night because everyone was so hungry (not even sweets or anything, just anything to feed themselves). The bathrooms were infested with wasps at the time and we had to avoid stepping over a minefield of dead wasps on the floor and be as quick as possible. Genuinely a dreadful 5 days.

It was nice ,the rooms where coldish at nights but hot at day.The food was nice but small portions and there were only one hour of warm water for showers. The fields and forests on the property were large and the toilets/showers were clean. In addition around the place there were fun activities you could attend. So I’d give this place 4*.

Went with the HWGTA. And cannot recommend more!! Main activities were kayaking, caving and an over night expedition. (pictures) All staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Especially our groups caving instructor and moutain guide Rod. He made a huge effort with the entire group, created a great rapport and made me feel extremely safe thoughout all the challenges. Food was good and plentiful. Accommodation was fine, nothing special (dormatories) but that is not the reason we went. I have learn so much about myself and have definitely caught the bug!! I hope to come back soon with my family for another adventure. Thank you again to all the kilvrough team.

This team of experts led by Ed are a credit to their profession, as an engineering tutor with a group of apprentices, Ed and his team put us through our paces with various activities leading to an overnight camping expedition on the Brecon beacons. We all learned so much, not only stretching our comfort zones but the real value of team building and what it means to be part of a functioning team and the consequences of not. I believe all my apprentices learnt valuable life lessons that they can use both in their work place and personal life. Once again a big thank you to Ed, Jamie, Alex, Piers and Sam, not forgetting all the staff who enable this team to function to a very high professional standard.

An absolutely amazing 3 days there. We were made to feel comfortable from the beginning, not feeling pressured to do any of the outdoor activities if we didn't what to. The equipment we borrowed was all good quality in varying sizes. The staff were all lovely, we had Sam mostly who was very encouraging and knowledgeable answering any and all questions that were asked. Would definitely recommend to any teachers out there.
