Good, compact museum. Story boards could do with numbering or arrows. Some of the sound exhibits are a bit quiet and some are a bit loud.

A mind blowing experience ; an incredible exhibit - has history, mystery , science and such an emotional experience for me. Loved this and feels incredible to know he was found after 527 years and given a place of honour in the cathedral 💜

Me and my son visited Leicester for a day trip and the king Richard lll visitor centre was our favourite place of the day. We liked how different it was to most historical centres we have visited before. There was a lot of gaging interactive parts which my son really enjoyed and found it fun to partake in as a neurodivergent child. Would definitely recommend visiting for anyone who loves history.

It is a must-visit if you like to learn more in-depth about England history. The impressive part of the centre is that the exhibition showed how the academics in Leicester investigated, analyzed and located the deceased King after hundreds of years by using modern technologies (like DNA).

King Richard III Visitor Centre – A Brilliant Start to My Leicester Trip My first stop in Leicester was the King Richard III Visitor Centre, and I’m genuinely pleased with what I saw, learned, and experienced. The team has done a fantastic job bringing this chapter of history to life. The exhibition about King Richard III is smartly put together: clear, engaging, and not overwhelming with endless dates or names. It tells the story of who he was, how he became king, and how he died in a way that feels accessible and memorable. Upstairs, I discovered the unbelievable story of how his remains were found under a car park — a real highlight. The whole investigation is presented in a way that feels almost cinematic. The centre also has a café, a souvenir shop, and visitor‑only toilets — all very clean and well maintained. At £12.50, it’s not the cheapest attraction, but it was absolutely money well spent. I even treated myself to a lovely tea towel from the shop. Superb work all around. Well done to everyone involved. I truly hope this place stays open to the public forever.
