Connected to Kingston library, it is a small but a charming little museum with some interesting historical artifacts on Sunday. There is a small art gallery on the first floor. The volunteer at the desk was welcoming and happy to have a chat. We worth a visit if you are in Kingston and some time to spare.

Maybe Under decoration , Rapier or upgrading. It looks might not open for customers. Once it reopens it would be a fantastic historic place and historic item to see and visit .

Visited Kingston Museum on a Saturday, had to come in after 2pm as they close between 1 and 2. It's a small museum about the history of the Royal Borough, starting with, of course, Roman civilisation. It goes on the modern times and has interesting exhibits, such as the history of the HMV dog (Nipper, who was from Kingston). There is a certain audio guide on Bloomberg Connects, complete with a digital map. I did find it confusing to locate each number on the app. My favourite part was on Eadward Muybridge's career on recording motion. I'd never heard of him before, there was a zoopraxiscope and other objects he used. I ended up getting a fridge magnet of 'Muybridge and Athlete'. I would recommend spending at least 30 minutes here. And definitely use the audio guide for extra information.

Definitely a hidden treasure. Small but very well curated local history museum of Kingston. Full of interesting historical artefacts. Free of charge. Family and children friendly with a free activity area. There is a free special exhibition recently : Creative Flow, Kingston, art and the river until 13/04/2024. Highly Recommend.
