Local community residents are concerned about the health of this protected wildlife area & the safety of the animals, birds, insects &creatures needing water. The trees, plants too rely on this water source. There are 2 small streams which adjoin midst beginning of the common. 1 stream is still clear - the other 1 the water is having what appears to be chemical reactions - which the sludge absobed stream of water& is bulking up & out. No where to run to as too thick is ORANGE, toxic looking & smells disgusting . Locals contacted me because I am an online dorset tour guide_with substantial amount of followers- enough to highlight the ever increasing stench. locals concerns of sewerage or other toxic chemicals being directed into the common= either accidentally or intentionally. Recently a proposed build 150m away was refused because of the close proximity to this PROTECTED land- yet repeated health & safety queries registered by locals have been ignored. Hopefully now I am reporting this online on the actual information site- it will be officially chemically tested. When environmental experts have investigated &announced publicly their results, ..... & be in time to save the multiples of species of wildlife living here. We will update the viewers. on my next visit.

Nice walk. Lots of woodlands. Quiet. Walk was an hour or so. Lots of road parking and different entrances into the common. There is also a wooden play park for kids.

Lovely walk all along the stream. Shady and dappled with butterflies, dragonflies, many types of birds and wild flowers. Charming "waterfall" and a large pond. Brilliant for dogs and children.

I take my dog for a walk here everyday and he loves it, running around playing with his ball. In the summer he likes to go into the little stream to cool off, I have lived over this way for most of my life and have had lots of fun in this common going for walks with my friends and climbing trees relaxing in the park here. Very beautiful place have made such happy memories for me and my friends too. Love it!

Lovely and interesting experience. Going outdoors and exploring wild is very interesting. My photography skills are very key when I go into an area that is packed of nature and vegetation. Amazing place x
