First visit, lovely volunteer welcome at reception, nice grounds and circular lake walk (beware the Geese poop 💩) called in cafe, nice choice although bit pricey for a teabag/hot water!! House interesting and very friendly informative volunteers. Certainly worth a visit ☺️

Beautiful open spaces. Lake, walled garden, sheep field, flower garden and the house. Good amenities well maintained. Didn’t spot a weed in the gardens. Well knowledgable team who stroke up a few conversations which feels welcoming. Thank you

The staff and volunteers are very friendly and informative and if they are unsure they have little reference folders to find out for you. The hall is beautiful, a lot of it has been restored and is full of period furniture and paintings A couple of rooms have been kept as they were in the 2nd world war which is fascinating to see The grounds are amazingly diverse and full of places for wildlife, they have deliberately created a multitude of habitats which are awesome to see. There is a large lake and a marsh, as well as a lawn, forest walk, walled garden and more. The snowdrops are out, and they beautifully carpet many areas The cafe was reasonably priced and with good food too. We plan to visit again in summer to see all the plants in their full glory

This place was a real gem - we came across it by chance and are so glad we did. I have been to a LOT of the big estates across England, and whilst this one has far less funding and wealth, it is one of the best I've been to. The team of staff and volunteers are clearly so passionate about what they do and they are a treasure trove of knowledge. We found the house visit amazing - every staff member spoke to us fervently about the history, giving interesting details of each room. It really made it so worth the visit! The grounds are beautiful and we absolutely loved the Halloween trail - fantastically done, really engaging and a really good length! We also enjoyed a good look around the gorgeous selection in the gift shop. We will absolutely be coming back and would recommend to anyone. Thank you to the wondeful team at Kiplin!
