Beautiful rural walk. Picnic area, toilets & a couple of lovely gents selling coffees & limited choice of ice creams. Choice of routes to walk through wooded areas & across heathland, lucky enough to meet exmoor ponies & saw a deer. Dogs welcome if kept on leads, please clean up after them. Parking fee was good too (2.50? for the day)& that is your entrance fee.

A great walk, flat too, as is usual in Norfolk 🤣 there's a lot of routes to take and the spruces really do make for a beautiful forest walk. I spoke with one of the maintainers, Aubrey. Lovely guy who explained how seriously they take maintaining this reserve, and it shows. Perfect walk with your dog/family. Or just by yourself with a book as I did. There's 37 ponies on sight and 430 acres to get through. All beautiful land. There's also a coffee can that comes Fridays through Sundays I believe - open 10-2PM, for those who like ending a walk with something sweet or caffeinated.

This is such a beautiful reserve, the only downside side is the people who allow their dogs to 💩 at the edge of the water on "the beach". I take my dog here early, and every morning I pick up at least 3 bags. Children swim here so please be respectful if you visit

What a beautiful outdoor space to visit and if your lucky you may even see the ponies grazing. Been many times over the years with my child and for dog walks. Toilets available.
