We had not visited here for many years. A young high school student took us and another couple on a guided tour. He was articulate and very knowledgeable. The staff wete very helpful when my husband thought he had lost his mobile phone. ( It was safely back at the hotel!) Beautiful and shady on a very hot day and handy for buses to either St. Helier or Gorey.
The young man who did a guided tour for four of us was outstanding in his knowledge and presentation. He just does this on Sundays as a volunteer. My husband thought he had lost his mobile and one of the staff on site searched everywhere for it. It turned out it had been left in the hotel. We did ring to tell the staff! It's a fascinating place and easy to reach on the number 13 bus which stops right at the gate. We had a Heritage Pass which is worth the money if you visit more than two places.
A great historical site worth seeing. Very friendly service when purchasing tickets.
If you are in Jersey, you must visit this place. It is one of the oldest buildings in the world and you can learn about the ancient rituals. We learnt a lot by taking the guided tour.
An interesting piece of history in the middle of Jersey. The small visitor center is put together nicely and the building is well-preserved. The enterance fee was a little high, but you can get a student discount if you have a valid student ID. We came here with bus 13 and which runs every hour, so we took the next one as 1 hour is perfectly enough to explore everything here. There is also a café on site if you get hungry. Staff was also very friendly here
