Usually 1000% and now cafe is back i expected to be saying the same however the big signs and barriers apologising for digging didnt create quite the bliss id been hoping for. Retrospectively, it may not be the biggest patch but because its immediately as you enter from the ladywell station end and takes up much of the patch of grass between the paths- it seems big... the sentiment of the signs was not lost on me because while it says necessary digging, it feels unpleasant just from those connotations and given that school holidays have just started - seems like interesting timing. The cafe, fields, created a great space both inside and out as there were several benches with umbrellas. My cup of tea was reasonable at 1.50 (i think) but while the bakes looked really appetising, they seemed pricey - maybe it was the vegan one at 4.20 that stuck but i quite fancied the fruit crumble but i think that was 3.20 for a smallish square; im sure it would be filling but meant i didnt look much further. Oh also didnt take cash at all - luckily the person i was with had already tapped. The actual park as ever seems its wonderful self and there were a small group of maybe 9/10 year olds heading to the tennis courts .. good start to holidays (tho there were far more adults around than kids tho maybe it was just because it was lunchtime.. I didnt venture as far as the track or proper playground but as its an enormous space.. enjoy the adventure!!!

I really like Ladywell Park because, even though it is in the middle of a busy city, it feels calm and peaceful there. It’s a great place to relax, go for a walk, and enjoy nature away from the noise of everyday life.

A lovely open green space with plenty of room to walk, relax, or enjoy a picnic. The riverside paths and wide fields make it a great place for a peaceful stroll or some fresh air. Perfect for families, dog walkers, and anyone looking to unwind outdoors

This is a very well used park by locals in the area. there is a lovely stream that runs through the park with nature, walking and biking trails that run along side it. children often play inside there as the water level is very low in the summer. There are three children's play areas, a skate park and an outdoor gym, pay as you go tennis courts, baskerball courts, and table tennis tables. We often go to this park for walks and bike rides.

Ladywell Fields is one of my favourite green spaces in South East London. It’s a lovely stretch of parkland with the River Ravensbourne running through, plenty of open lawns, wildflower meadows, and tree-lined paths to wander. There are tennis courts, a playground, and even a café for coffee after a walk. A peaceful spot for dog walks, picnics or just escaping the bustle of Lewisham for a while.
