Very interesting museum, run by volunteers. It has great history and lots of information about it. We were also able to have a go with original training clips that were used during the war, to train gunners who would eventually fly the wellington and other aircraft. Fun for all ages

Visited on June 24th 2026, middle of the hottest June week in UK. Scott and Paul gave myself and friend John a friendly welcome, inviting us in and straight into a film about the camp. We were then allowed to view the various panels and information about the history of the camp, it's formation, serving unit histories, the Domes apparatus and more at our leisure (but both Scott & Paul were on hand to answer queries or to add facts / ancedotes). This has a nice balance being aimed at younger audience and those with a passing interest, but also informative enough to engage those with a deeper knowledge, excellent presentation. More films followed, again excellently presented and edited (just long enough to allow you to absorb information). Paul then showed the assembled group (6-7 people) the use, function of the actual training gun and each was invited to try their hand at becoming a gunner. Again excellent presentation. Both of us then chatted to Scott about the actual Dome construction and it's restoration, the surrounding area and what could be viewed. We then took time for a spot of lunch in the gardens seating area, immaculately kept, clean and tidy. The seating area has some more panels and some fun games on each table ( clever idea , again keeping the interest of the younger audience, top idea that). After lunch we viewed the panels around the garden which gives clear indication as to other parts of RAF Langham, we took time to have a little wander after to view the runways ( not accessible but you can photo) - caution here along the roads if you do. We then popped back into the Dome to have a browse in the shop area. Overall an excellent museum with knowledgeable manager and volunteer.

Absolutely superb and volunteers who are there to to assist our wonderfully enthusiastic and knowledgeable. It was so good we were there for nearly 3 hours. We watched three excellent films and even tried a bit of target practice. Wonderful picnic area error! outside around the spitfire. Thank you so much to all incredible people that keep this place going.

I've been meaning to visit Langham Dome for some time, and it did not disappoint. Someone has put an awful lot of thought and effort into the whole experience, which could have been a bit dry. So yes it's based on one of the last remaining anti-aircraft training domestic from WWII but it tells much more of a story of the entire context of the dome - its physical location, the process and techniques of anti-aircraft defence and training, the threats that were being defended against, and the stories of the personnel that were involved. There are extensive interpretation panels both inside the dome and outside, and they are cleverly aimed at all interests - there is material for kids, for those with a deep military knowledge and everything in-between. Several short films are shown which were fascinating, and there was also a reconstruction of the training setup where authentic films of attacking planes are projected on the inside of the dome, and you can try to shoot them down from the gun in the middle.

Stumbled across this peice of history by chance while driving home. I joked to my wife about what it could be so we came and explored and I'm glad I did. Sadly closed at the moment but still lots to see and read outside of the dome. I'll come back again if near when it's open again.
