It's not too big but it certainly has some really interesting items inside like the incredible well preserve collection of trilobites,and lots of information about earth history very well explained, it's free so please on your way out purchase something at the shoop, they have a little bit of everything including a small section of second hand books wich i always find great.

Great place for education and learning about fossils dinosaur and Rocks lots of photo opportunities especially with the dinosaur and has a nice gift shop and it's free entry

Cute for a little something to do and it is very close to the train station (university of Birmingham). Well kept and in a nice location. The big dinosaur skeleton on entrance was a nice touch, but they were pretty much over it after 15 mins Take into account my kids are 5 and 2, both love dinosaurs however .

I really enjoyed my tour through the Lapworth museum. Lots of fossils and a ton of information about minerals. I particularly liked the fluorescent mineral display where you could switch the light wavelength to see the fluorescence. I didn't previously know that the brachiopod fossils I had collected in my childhood in southwestern Ontario (Arkona and Thedford atea) were part of very widely distributed type of fossil.
