Great little reserve for bird spotting and a walk in nature but it gets very muddy after lots of rain. There's a great boardwalk, but sadly, some of it is dismantled or neglected, I think due to a lack of funding.

Nice place to go for a Sunday walk but as others have said heavily used by dog walkers and poo everywhere which really spoils the experience. Aside from that great please to get lost and be at one with nature. There are multiple tracks to got lost on and not so big that you are really lost but all year round exploration possible. A road separates the two areas so ensure both sides are explored as one side of very small while the other is large. There is a small free carpark there that does not allow campers or vans. It has no refreshments so bring your own. Boot in winte highly recommended.

A small but nice walk around on the looped board walk ground fairly good all year round, in the winter the board is filled with water below which makes it a nice walk too. The other side also loops around there is also a small pond.

It a lovely little walk if I had a dog which enjoyed walking I’m sure it would of loved coming here! Slightly disappointed there were no flowers or Water Voles but I’m going to put that to the fact it was freezing cold! 🥶 However on the plus side there were ducks and we got to see a train and we followed the road and got to see horses too which was great! ☺️👍 JB & HE 10/4/21 #NatureWalkExperts

This is a small, relatively well kept, local nature reserve with a short circular boardwalk that takes you around the wetland area created by water filling the disused quarry pits that the site now stands on. It is very peaceful, green, and seems to be sparsely visited. I was able to get around whilst handling an all terrain pushchair although there are some steep areas, and a few steps on the North side of the reserve.
