Went for the northern lights - Amazing light show, plenty to walk around. Went around winter 2025 and was impressed however very busy and VERY expensive for what it is.

Looking for a clean and fun green space for our family while visiting and was terribly disappointed. Hard to find, greenery over growing all the fences and benches, litter, geese poop everywhere, and the building in the park have fallen in disrepair and are covered in graffiti, peeling paint and wood. The actual playground area left little to be desired and needs sprucing up for sure! Hope the city invests in their green spaces! That being said, there were some lovely walking trails throughout…

We went to the Northern light show. Amazing, very expensive, take in your own drinks and marshmallows (£4 for 4 is a rip-off). Which idiot booked the disabled toilet with no lights .... which is only used at night, otherwise you cannot see the lights. The laser show in the woods is easily missed but was the best experience. We spent over an hour enjoying an empty park at 19:30 on a saturday night....perfect. Well done, just sort your prices out please.

Attended the northern lights display at leases park with 3 of our grandsons. Loads of displays throughout the park that the kids really enjoyed. Plenty of toilets around the site, various food and drink stands to meet all needs. Amusement area with large tower slide and ferris wheel. Nearby parking at St James Park... Very reasonable prices too. A thoroughly enjoyable evening and worth a visit. Booking ahead is essential.

This is quite a large park in Newcastle, situated just behind St James stadium. There are several entrances and numerous paths so it is very popular with people of all ages but also dog walkers and families. One of the main features is a large lake which has a wide range of birdlife. Including ducks, geese and swans. It’s a very popular place for people to go fishing with designated areas around the lake. To one side there is also a cafe cum kiosk where you can buy ice cream, drinks, sweets etc Very popular for sunbathing.
