What a gem of a place. We visited on a weekend with small children and had a lovely time walking around the museum. It’s very child friendly with a lots interactive stuff for children. The picnic area and the coloured garden was just lovely - was nice to sit out by the canal. Staff were very friendly and the toilets really clean. We would definitely visit again.

Truly a phenomenal experience. The staff were very kind and helpful, showing the best route to experience the grounds properly. The machines are a work of art, and have just the right amount of detail explaining the history and processes that occurred. There was plenty of interactive pieces along the way, with a dedicated children's play area and a cafe with outdoor seating!

Visited with my 3 boys (10/6/3) on a rainy Saturday. We were made very welcome. Staff were helpful and friendly. There were a number of trails that the children were keen to participate in and they learned a lot as they completed them. There was a photo trail that my little one could complete also. Lots of dressing up and hands on activities. Lovely old fashioned cinema showing fairly recent film for free. They were very interested in the Victorian classroom but seems only open for school trips. Lovely day out that they have continued to talk about this week.

I really enjoyed it. It gives a good overview about the industrial history of Leeds which is mostly influenced by wool. I think it’s good to spend 2 hours there. There is also a lovely outdoor garden where you can have Picknick.

A really lovely day out at Armley Mill. We came on Tuesday afternoon and had the whole place to ourselves. This building was an old textile mill and you can see many machinery that were used when it was operational! Lots of infographics to make the mill come alive! They have demo says, so that would be interesting to see the machines in action. As you work your way round, there are other exhibitions of cinema equipment alongside a cinema showing animations with original seats. There’s free parking available!
