My girlfriend was unfairly accused by another customer of recording people at the gym, even though she wasn’t. It’s upsetting that she was singled out and blamed without any evidence. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect and not judged or falsely accused. I hope the gym looks into what happened and makes sure all members are treated fairly.
I am still very impressed with the move well studio in Avondale and can’t recommend that enough however the app has now been changed which is making it literally the opposite of user friendly making it so difficult to book sessions having to go through 3 screens to book one day the old app was one screen. Whoever designed this app was not practical and had no understanding on how to make things user friendly and easy to use considering the majority of people attending the move well studio are 60+
First time of visiting to use the water slides and facilities. Not sure I will be back. The changing area, and around the pool and steps to the slides are dirty. The toilets need a good bleach, not nice at all. I have been to Huddersfield splash park which is similar and that is a lot cleaner. I am sure throughout the hour session someone could hose down in the changing rooms ready for the next session. Keep on top of it and it will be a lot better.
The pool is a great size, quite cool though in comparison to other pools i have used. Has a lovely 'splash zone' for babies and younger children and a jacuzzi area. 2 amazing fun slides for older kids and adults. Viewing area is brilliant, lots of seats and views of all area of the pool. The shower and cubicle area leaves a lot to be desired. Not enough cubicles for the amount of people, always grubby. Some of the locks are broke and no lighting in others so difficult to get dressed in. Toilets in that area also grim. Almost always blocked and grubby. In comparison to other life leisure swimming facilities in the local area this one needs a lot of TLC. In terms of parking - there is a large NCP car park a very short walk away which can be used and if you are in the pool for under 2 hours you can get your ticket verified in the machine at reception so your parking is free!
The swimming pool is great, lane swim sessions are well run and it is the best pool out of all the centres in the brand However, the health suite is an absolute zoo at night, people shouting across at each other and playing music with phone or speakers in the sauna (their phones must be explosion proof in 80 degrees temp), one person likes to spray his own lotions in the sauna regardless if others around may have an allergy; needless to say you see some vape in there as well I've even had someone square up to me once for moving his bottle from one bench to another just so I could lie down on it; imagine the irony when he eventually left for the night without taking his bottle with him... The other night someone brought in a glass bottle and it got tipped over and shattered on the floor that everyone walks barefoot on Bear in mind there's no eating in the health suite, but don't be surprised if someone brings in a knife to cut fruit with, it's happened before Staff walk by every 20 minutes or so and do nothing whatsoever about it, the term 'relaxation' does not exist in this health suite Hopefully the staff take action after I brought the above up to them at reception yesterday
