My friend and I took a midweek day off yesterday.. for our first visit to the Lightroom, and it was worth every single second. Booking a morning slot was the best decision—it was uncrowded, just as we hoped. ​The David Bowie exhibition is worth a visit. The moment you step into the room.. you are transported into a 360-degree immersive experience that gives you a concert feel. As it is narrated by Bowie himself, it feels incredibly personal, knowledgeable, and deeply insightful. The illumination is hypnotic - when the lights move, you feel like you are moving right along with them! I recommend sitting on a cushion on the floor.. as you will feel yourself moving.. We ended the exhibition by buying souvenir of choice.. Enjoyed a couple of drinks at the lovely onsite bar.. Lunch at nearby market.. Some lovely shops with unique items to purchase 😁

First class, enjoyed the David Bowie You’re Not Alone event immensely. Shown on all four walls, gigantic screens. How they managed to upscale footage from 40 years ago was amazing. Sound volume just right. Nice bar and shop. A must for any Bowie fan.

I went to the "David Bowie: You are not alone" immersive exhibition which is launched in April and it was wonderful, felt like in a concert. One complete show lasts approximately 1hr, definitely recommended for Bowie fans. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Incredible, Transportive Journey Into Bowie’s World! ​Absolutely loved David Bowie: You’re Not Alone at Lightroom! If you are a fan of Bowie, or just appreciate brilliant creative staging, this is an absolute must-see. The way the venue utilizes its massive, four-story walls completely redefines what an audio-visual exhibition can be. ​The multimedia projections are nothing short of breathtaking. Instead of just watching old clips, you are entirely enveloped by them. A few highlights that completely blew me away: ​The Scale and Multi-Screen Layouts: Seeing classic, split-screen live footage of Bowie in his prime blown up to 11 meters tall is mesmerizing. The curation tracks his evolution beautifully, flashing years like 1972, 1974, and 1976 across the walls alongside towering, synchronized projections of him performing iconic tracks like "Starman" and "Rebel Rebel." ​The Brilliant Visual Collages: One of the most stunning segments features a massive, room-spanning wall composed entirely of hundreds of individual contact sheets and moving film strips. Watching his famous personas—from Ziggy Stardust to the Thin White Duke—flicker and shift simultaneously all around the room was an incredible experience. ​The Vivid Colour Transformations: The room seamlessly shifts atmospheres, going from the moody, stylized black-and-white grids of his mid-70s era to vibrant, explosive bursts of color, like his legendary 1972 appearance on Top of the Pops. ​Combined with the phenomenal spatial audio, the production makes you feel less like a passive viewer and more like you've stepped directly inside Bowie’s own imagination. It’s an incredibly moving, theatrical, and beautifully executed celebration of a true visionary. ​Highly recommended—grab a spot on the benches (or the floor) and just let it wash over you!

Such a terrific venue. We went to see the Bowie installation. Tbh I don’t even like Bowie music, and even I thought it was excellent! Nice glass of rosé to take in with me (very grown up), and sat comfortably to take in the event. So good. Great space and a creative venue. It was such a great part of London too, vibrant and buzzing to get lunch and wander round Coal Drop Yard. Please do more like this - George Michael, Freddie Mercury, Elvis, Amy Winehouse etc.
