We didn't go into the castle. Instead we went to Saint Michael's church next to it. That was incredible! We also went to So Strawberry Cafe just at the bottom of the hill which was an amazing lunch

Wonderful site. You get to walk around so many floors and rooms it feels at times mazelike, it feels like a very unique location in that sense considering its a ruin. The architectural work of the palace itself is gorgeous and had many intricate details still around its walls. You can walk around the exterior of the site for free as it forms part of a park and the gift shop whilst small is well implemented into the structure although a bit cramped especially if its busy. Overall great value and a must visit.

This is a fantastic day out, there is so much to explore! There are four towers you can climb, of which one you can go outside at the top and really appreciate the view from extremely high up. The place is extensive and well worth the entry fee. There is a toilet on site and an area where kids can draw. There is parking for visitors but it fills up fast and we ended up parking just down the hill in the large paid car park.

A beautiful location steeped in history, the castle is remarkable and the loch is simply stunning especially in early spring. Had the pleasure of being able to walk most of the way around and found the trail pleasant and the locals friendly and accommodating. Would have loved ore time here, maybe another time if I'm up this way I will as I would certainly visit again. Nice location with plenty of amenities nearby.
