Had a lovely morning visiting this beautiful heritage railway starting with a train ride from Llangollen to Corwen return followed up by an afternoon tea. The food was amazing I'd definitely give it a 20/10! Scones, selection of sandwiches, selection of cakes with a pot of tea & bottled water all sitting on a carriage with the beautiful view overlooking the river with the sun shining through. Absolutely loved it, keep up the good work everyone 👍 I bought tickets online but there would be no holdups buying on arrival, staff are very accommodating

Great value immersive experience. The train travels through beautiful scenery in the Dee valley. Rolling stock, infrastructure and stations are authentically restored - you feel like it could actually be 1950! Staff/volunteers are all very friendy and welcoming. I'll be coming back for another visit at every opportunity.

An excellent afternoon tea on board a vintage steam train. We were pleasantly greeted by station staff upon arrival and shown to the dining carriage where our afternoon tea was waiting for us. The afternoon tea was a lovely mix of sandwiches, scones and cakes. Very traditional, with tea and coffee continuously being topped up by the bubbly and friendly staff on board. The Polish lady serving was especially wonderful, going above and beyond to make our trip special. The journey was comfortable and very enjoyable with stunning views over the Dee Valley. Carriages were comfortable and spacious and made for a lovely trip. The young man giving the commentary as we pulled into the station was a welcome addition. Very informative and interesting. A wonderful day trip and a great way to see the area.

Llangollen Railway is a brilliant day out, especially if you enjoy steam trains, peaceful riverside views, and a proper sense of place. The ride through the Dee Valley feels calm and scenic from start to finish, with the River Dee often running alongside the line and the hills framing the journey beautifully. One of the best parts is how much there is to see from the train and around the stations. The views near Berwyn and the Chainbridge area are especially lovely, with the historic Chainbridge Hotel, the river, and the surrounding valley all adding to the atmosphere. It is the sort of scenery that makes you want to slow down and take it all in, rather than rush through it. The railway itself has a warm, heritage feel, and the stations along the route add to that old-fashioned charm. Llangollen, Berwyn, Glyndyfrdwy, Carrog, and Corwen all have their own character, and the whole line feels well matched to the landscape it passes through. What really makes Llangollen Railway special is the combination of history and nature. You are not just going on a train ride, you are travelling through one of the prettiest parts of North Wales, with river views, a lovely valley, and memorable landmarks along the way. It is a genuinely relaxing and picturesque experience, and one that leaves a lasting impression.

Always a wonderful place to visit. Have been on the Llangollen railway about a dozen times over the years on both steam and diesel and their real ale train which was superb. A lovely stretch of line along the river Dee to Corwen
