A Place That Has Grown With Our Family Llanymynech Rocks is one of those places that never loses its magic, no matter how many times you visit. I have been walking here regularly for over six years, and it remains one of my favourite local places to escape, clear my head, and appreciate the incredible scenery. What makes it especially meaningful is the memories it holds for my family. When I first started coming here, my youngest was still small enough to be carried on my back as we explored the trails and climbed amongst the rocks. Fast forward a few years, and now she is scrambling up the same rocks herself, often alongside her teenage brother, who was not much older than she is now when we first moved to the area. Watching them grow in confidence and independence while exploring the outdoors has been incredibly special. The walk itself offers something for everyone. The rock formations are fascinating, the paths are accessible for a range of abilities, and there is plenty to keep adventurous children entertained for hours. My own children have spent countless afternoons climbing, exploring and creating their own adventures here. Even on wet and gloomy days, there is something peaceful and calming about Llanymynech Rocks. The landscape has a rugged beauty that shines in every season. However, on a bright, clear day, the views are simply phenomenal. Standing at the top and looking out across the surrounding countryside, stretching for miles in every direction, never gets old. Whether you are looking for a family walk, a place to explore, or simply somewhere to enjoy some of the best views in the area, Llanymynech Rocks is well worth a visit. It is a place full of beauty, memories and adventure. There is no cost to enter!

Several places to park with approx 6-8 spaces at each. Lots of different paths to choose from and all has amazing views. There are old mines, tunnels and mining features/buildings to see. View points and clifftops. Family friendly walks with information boards.

This nature reserve is simply beautiful with stunning views over Shropshire and into Mid-Wales, sitting right on the border and with Offas Dyke running through their site. It is definitely worth a visit, with plenty of information boards providing information on the nature and the history of the site ... Put this place on the list and make your way there, you won't be disappointed!

Went for a dog walk, ended up going all over the golf course and god knows where else, I think there are a lot fo route options and bits that lead off. We parked at the car park (very bad pot holes/wet to get to) but in a van so was ok. So we wanted to do a loop, did have to get maps up several times to figure out how to get back. The quarry walls themselves were stunning and well worth a visit, I wouldnt do the same walking track though I'd try a different one or turn around at a point so not to get lost again.
