Stayed at the campsite for a couple of nights. The campsite is quite far away from everything, so it really is in the middle of nowhere. The café closes at 4pm, and there isn’t anywhere nearby to go for a drink or food at a pub, which was a bit disappointing. The showers and toilets were clean, which was a positive. However, the lights weren’t turned on, which was a little strange, especially in the evening. I’d recommend camping here if you’re specifically planning to use the reservoir and its activities. However, I wish I’d done a bit more research beforehand, as we used the campsite as a base for exploring the area and found the location quite inconvenient for that.

Great place to visit if you enjoy walking or cycling. Various trails of different abilities to try out. Great cafe, kids playground, dogs agility area. There is also camping available.

A great walk around the reservoir...views opening up along the route and a very good and informative lady on the desk of the information centre and shop. Cafe was great and dog friendly. Will definitely be back.

Took my motorhome to the lake view campsite, my son took his caravan and my youngest son camped. We have had the most amazing weekend, the grandchildren loved the bike park and they all had a go at fishing, actually caught six fish between us and the grandchildren netted them 😊.All in all the staff were amazing and the facilities were excellent. Toilets and showers immaculate. The bike park is free if you bring your own bike but they also hire them out . Pitches are very large and level *****

Lovely place to vist fantastic views great for walking the dog ( on lead ) plz take a drink for you both as it is a 5 mile up and down hill trek. cafe is dog friendly too clean and tide inside and out . would love to come back some time soon
