Did the Loch Katrine cycle route, not easy but enjoyable, and the views are stunning.

Absolutely beautiful. Has an eco-lodge and a visitor center with a café, and boat rides available, but the walk alone was more than enough for the visit. There is a short climb for a better view that we didn’t go on, but is surely lovely.

Loch Katrine is one of the most peaceful and quietly beautiful places I’ve ever visited. The stillness of the water, surrounded by rolling hills and untouched woodland, creates a sense of calm that’s hard to find elsewhere. It’s the kind of place where you can truly switch off—no noise, no rush, just nature at its most serene. Whether you’re taking a gentle walk along the shore or simply sitting and taking in the view, there’s a soothing, almost timeless quality to the whole area. It feels wonderfully unspoiled and refreshingly uncrowded, making it perfect for anyone looking to escape the busyness of everyday life. A hidden gem for tranquility—highly recommended.
