My son recently attended a Year 6 residential at Longridge Activity Centre and had a fantastic experience. His school stayed in the Wooden Spoon Tented Village, and he really enjoyed sleeping in the spacious tents. The food was excellent, and the centre’s riverside location on the River Thames was beautiful. There was a great variety of activities, including stand-up paddleboarding and climbing. Their visit coincided with an extreme heatwave, but the staff handled the conditions exceptionally well, keeping the children safe and well cared for throughout. The team were friendly, supportive, and organised, making the residential a memorable experience for everyone.

We had a super birthday party here for my 8 year old son. The location was exquisite, and we enjoyed laser tag with 16 children in the beautiful surroundings, followed by lunch by the river. The staff were very friendly and professional, and my son and so many of the guests said they had the most amazing time.

My son (10) attended for a day during the Easter half term and loved it so much that he requested his 11th birthday party here! Him and his friends had the best time out on the water in the kayaks (and out of the kayaks...) a special mention and thank you to Savannah who was there both times and is an absolute asset to the team, friendly and helpful, chatty and informative. A brilliant facility right on our doorstep, I recommend to anyone looking for some outdoor adventuring!

Terrible accommodation, my son was on a school trip. Girls had mattresses and boys slept on metal. I have shown photos, and you will see the difference between the girls and the boys accommodation. Food was poor and not any choice. (Sandwich, packet of chrisp and one chocolate) hardly a substantial lunch considering they were active all day. There were no other snacks or healthy options throughout. Dinner, was just as bad. Kids were hungry especially the boys. Toilet doors broken and restriction on water if the class showered. I would not recommend your child stay here. Over priced for what it is. You’d be better taking your child camping yourself!

Great taster session learning to stand up paddle board on the back water of the Thames. The weather wasn't looking great for the day, but turned out lovely in the end. Instructor was lovely. Toilet facilities clean and well kept. Equipment provided in good condition.
