Stunning walled garden and country house. We just visited the garden but spent a good hour there. Didn’t try the cafe but it looked nice

Beautiful gardens, even after two months of drought and a heatwave. Very relaxing on a sunny afternoon. Tea and cake too, sitting outside at the far end of the garden. We didn't go into the house today as we didn't set out in time. Will definitely visit again, and do the house tour as well next time.

Garden is free for RHS members at particular times of the year. Tour of the house is £9.50 extra. House has lots of treasures inside so worth the visit. Cafe had gluten free soup and rolls.

We visited the gardens on 10th August and they were stunning! Each garden room had plenty of interest, but the room full of rudbeckias, heleniums etc was really spectacular!! There was so much colour - it is a show-stopping room at this time of year.

Spectacular garden! Several differently themed areas within large walled garden. So much colour and planting to explore and enjoy. Lovely cafe. Card payment only. Sadly closing for autumn/winter tomorrow- seems a shame when garden is very much still in full bloom.
