I really needed a mental escape and I'm so glad Lough Neagh gave it to me. Saw little ducklings and the water was so still and quiet..just the headspace i needed... Only thing was there were a few bugs...but that's normal when you go near water anyways.

Very pretty place and great spot to see Lough Neagh, although if you’re coming here to see ducks or swans you may be a little bit disappointed, as there aren’t really many of them.

The Lough Neagh Discovery Centre is an absolute gem and a truly beautiful place to visit. Surrounded by stunning natural scenery, it’s the perfect spot for a relaxing walk, a family day out, or simply to enjoy the peace and beauty of the area. The staff are incredibly welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable, they really add to the warm and inviting atmosphere. The centre itself is well maintained, with excellent facilities and informative displays about the local environment and wildlife. Whether you’re a nature lover or just looking for a scenic escape, this place is a must visit. Can’t recommend it highly enough!

Café in the discovery centre is closed except at weekends. Very disappointing. Had to drive back out to the marina area to the cafe which had limited food options and was full of workers. The toilets are open though. Parking was difficult as there was some sort of meeting on. There used to be a shop in the centre which was great for kids but this has long gone. Very disappointed - a great resource basically being wound down.
